Game of Thrones: History and Geography of House Lynderly


House Lynderly of the Snakewood is a noble house from the Vale of Arryn. Their castle is Snakewood and they carry the title "Lord of the Snakewood".
They blazon their arms with a black field strewn with wriggling green serpents. Their words do not appear in the books.

A Game of Thrones
A knight wearing the green viper of the Lynderlys is present in the High Hall of the Eyrie when Tyrion Lannister demands a trial by combat to prove his innocence. He is young and is the first to offer his sword to champion Lady Lysa Arryn.

A Feast for Crows
Petyr Baelish tells Sansa Stark that Lord Jon Lynderly is one of his friends. Littlefinger asks Lords Grafton and Lynderly to send each a son to ward, to become Robert Arryn's squires.[4] Lord Lynderly attends Lord Lyonel Corbray's wedding, which many of the Lords Declarant shun. Gyles Grafton and Terrance Lynderly descend to the Gates of the Moon with Robert.
