House Farring is a noble house of the
crownlands. According to semi-canon sources, they blazon their arms with per
pale purple and white, two knight’s combatant with swords, counter-charged.

According to rumor, Lady Annara Farring,
the seventh wife of Lord Walder Frey, may have slept with Black Walder Frey,
one of Walder's great-grandsons.

Ser Gilbert Farring commands the garrison

Lord Mace Tyrell begins the siege of
Storm's End, which is held by Gilbert.
A Dance with Dragons
Ser Godry Farring is among the queen's men
at Castle Black. He is nicknamed Giantslayer for having slain a giant during
the battle beneath the Wall. Godry heckles Jon Snow in an attempt to provoke
him into a duel, but Jon ignores him. Godry leads Stannis's vanguard during the
march on Winterfell. Bryen dies during the march.
